The State of Emergency continues, with over 24" of snow already on the ground, we are currently forecasted for up to an additional 10" of snow with the winter storm continuing through the afternoon tomorrow. The Harding Township Department of Public Works has been out plowing, but with snow falling at up to 3" per hour, it's impossible to keep up. Most residents have not tried to travel, which has helped the DPW tremendously. We all thank you! Everyone is urged to continue to stay home until well after the snow stops tomorrow afternoon. Once it stops snowing, the DPW will still need time to get the roads safe for travel.
Harding Township Police, New Vernon Fire Department, New Vernon First Aid Squad, DPW, and Office of Emergency Management continue to work around the clock to keep our residents safe!
