Winter Storm Update 12/16 11:00 AM

The Harding Township Office of Emergency Management (OEM) team met again today and is continuing preparations for the impending storm. Currently, the National Weather Service is forecasting 12"-18" snow with strong wind gusts. The snow is forecast to start late afternoon/early evening today and continuing throughout the night. Unfortunately, we are expecting power outages as a result of the wet snow forecasted and the high winds.

JCP&L customers who are without power need to call in their power outages to 1-888-LIGHTSS (1-888-544-4877) or click the "Report Outage" link on www.firstenergycorp.com. DO NOT CALL 9-1-1 just for power outages.

Stay away from downed poles and wires for safety! Even downed trees could have wires entangled. If there is a dangerous situation, please contact Harding Township Police immediately. Dial 9-1-1 for emergencies!

For updated information on current JCP&L outages, the storm restoration process and tips for staying safe, visit the 24/7 Power Center at www.firstenergycorp.com/outages.
